Soft chewy donut bites coated in sweet cinnamon sugar. I love these as an easy snack – needing only 6 ingredients.
They come together super quickly – no dough proving needed. It takes about 20 minutes from start to finish to have a bowl of these heavenly treats sat in front of you.
This is my new go-to when that sweet craving hits. You know what it’s like – you’re searching the cupboards for any kind of sweet morsel that that kids haven’t pilfered and you come up with a squashed old cereal bar and misery.
Yep, we’ve all been there. Mug cakes are usually popular in my house for a speedy sweet treat, but these have totally overtaken them.
You’ve probably got most if not all of these ingredients in the house right now. I will be making sure I have Greek yogurt on my shopping list each week (as I usually have the rest in) so I can always make a batch of these donut bites.

📋 Ingredients
- For the donut holes:
- Greek Yogurt – It’s best to use a full-fat version for the best flavour.
- Plain (all-purpose) flour
- Baking powder
- I also use a bit of spray oil to coat the inside of the air fryer, but you can brush with a little of the melted butter if you prefer.
- For the coating:
- Melted butter
- Sugar
- Ground cinnamon

- Mix together the ingredients for the donut holes with your hands until it forms a dough. Then form the dough into 12 equal-sized balls, before putting them into a greased air-fryer basket, and air-frying until lightly browned.
- Add the melted butter into one bowl and the sugar and cinnamon to a second bowl.
- Once the donut holes are done, coat each in the butter, then the cinnamon sugar mixture, and you’re ready to serve!
Pro Tip
Make sure to shake the donut holes in the air-fryer basket halfway through cooking to make sure they don’t stick and cook evenly.

Air Fryer Donut Holes Recipe
Ingredients
Donut Holes:
- 120 ml (1/2 cup) Greek yogurt – full-fat is best
- 120 g (1 cup) plain (all-purpose) flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
Coating:
- 60 g (2.1oz – approx. half a stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 75 g (1/3 cup) granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
Also:
- Oil for greasing air fryer basket and your hands when roll the dough balls
Instructions
- Place the Greek yogurt, flour and baking powder in a bowl.120 ml (1/2 cup) Greek yogurt, 120 g (1 cup) plain (all-purpose) flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder
- Mix together using your hands or a spoon until all of the ingredients are combined. It should only take a minute or two.
- Divide into 12 pieces and roll each into a ball. I find it easier (and less sticky) if I grease my hands with a little neutral oil before shaping the balls.
- Grease the inside of your air fryer basket with spray oil or by brushing on a little oil.Oil for greasing air fryer basket and your hands when roll the dough balls
- Add the balls into the air fryer basket – try to leave a bit of space between each as they'll spread a little.
- Cook on the air fryer setting at 180C/350F for 8-9 minutes until lightly browned. Check halfway through and give the basket a little shake to help prevent the donut holes sticking.
- Meanwhile, add the melted butter to a small bowl.60 g (2.1oz – approx. half a stick) unsalted butter, melted
- Add the sugar and cinnamon to a second bowl and mix together.75 g (1/3 cup) granulated sugar, 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- When the donut holes are cooked, drop one in the butter and roll it around to coat. Transfer to the bowl with the cinnamon sugar and roll it around until fully coated.
- Transfer to a serving plate and repeat with the rest of the donut holes.
