This amazing recipe for Nuts and Berries Granola contains clusters of crunchy oats, mixed with dried fruit and nuts, this granola is so good, you’ll be eating it straight out of the jar.
In fact everyone in my house seems to eat it out of the jar. Those lovely clumpy bits always go first – pretty much within the first couple of hours of me making a batch.
If I actually manage to find a clumpy bit by the time I’m serving it up for breakfast, I guard it with my life!
MY CLUMPY BIT.
I love serving this with Greek yogurt, a few fresh berries and sometimes with a drizzle of honey.
Gracey and Chris have it for breakfast with milk. Lewis likes to just stuff handfuls in his mouth after he’s picked out the dried strawberries!
When making this granola, I find it’s best to add the nuts for the last few minutes of cooking to toast them lightly, without burning them. The dried fruit is added after cooking (otherwise you’ll end up with crunchy raisins).
So tasty, the whole jar never seems to last more than a couple of days. I think I’m going to have to start making bigger batches (once I’ve got my new oven in!). I LOVE making granola, this one, or my White Chocolate Coconut Cashew Granola, Raspberry Macaroon Granola, Chocolate Coconut Granola, Coconut Macaroon Granola or even this Cranberry Nut Sugar Free Granola
I first made this granola for DIYs (check them out for great recipe and craft ideas).

Nuts and Berries Granola Recipe:

Nuts and Berries Granola
Ingredients
- 320 g (3 cups) whole rolled oats (use gluten-free certified for gluten free)
- 5 packed tbsp light-brown sugar
- 4 tbsp honey
- 4 tbsp coconut oil melted
- 4 tbsp water
- 100 g (1 cup) chopped, mixed nuts (I used brazil nuts, cashews, walnuts, and almonds)
- 150 g (3/4 cup) mixed dried berries (I used a mixed pack containing golden and jumbo raisins, cranberries, cherries, strawberries, and blueberries)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 175C/350F (fan).
- In a large bowl, mix together the oats, brown sugar, honey, coconut oil, and water.320 g (3 cups) whole rolled oats, 5 packed tbsp light-brown sugar, 4 tbsp honey, 4 tbsp coconut oil, 4 tbsp water
- Once mixed, spoon it out onto a large metal baking tray and place it in the oven for 14-16 minutes. Check on the granola a couple of times during cooking to make sure it's not burning at the edges. If the edges of the granola are looking a lot darker, give the granola a mix. Once the granola is a light golden brown, add in the chopped nuts and place back in the oven for a further 2-4 minutes.100 g (1 cup) chopped, mixed nuts
- Take the granola out of the oven and leave to cool completely on the tray (leaving to cool completely - without mixing - is what helps the granola stick together to form those lovely clumps). Once cool, sprinkle on the dried fruit and mix in. You may find that some of the granola has stuck to the bottom of the tray during cooling, this is fine, use a metal spatula to lift the granola from the tray.150 g (3/4 cup) mixed dried berries
- Spoon the granola into an air-tight jar – ready for breakfast, snacking or general clump stealing.

This looks amazing and the fruit really pops in the photos. Given how easy granola is to make I really don’t know why I don’t make my own more often.
Can i use quick cooking oats?
