Made famous by The Bonefish Grill in Florida in their Bang Bang Shrimp recipe, this is a sauce makes anything bite-size and crispy taste AMAZING!

Probably the easiest recipe on the site - it simply calls for mixing 4 ingredients together to get the most delicious creamy, spicy dipping sauce.

    📋 What do we need?

🔪 How to make bang bang sauce

Full recipe with detailed steps in the recipe card at the end of this post.

The base of the sauce is mayonnaise. We're using about 120ml (½ a cup) - this will serve 6 people.
Then we're basically flavouring the mayonnaise with the addition of 2 tbsp of sweet chilli sauce (use your favourite brand), 1 tbsp of sriracha (you can use hot sauce - such as Franks or Tabasco if you prefer) and 1 tsp of honey, for a slight touch of sweetness.

Mix it all together, then serve.

Small dark bowl filled with bang bang sauce on a dark blue background.

👩‍🍳PRO TIP This sauce will easily keep for 2 weeks, in an airtight container in the fridge.

🍽️ What to serve it with

    • Crispy Bang Bang Shrimp (or homemade Coconut Shrimp)
    • Crispy Chicken Tenders
    • As a dip for Oven Baked Chips
    • As a spicy sauce for Beef Burgers or Chicken Burgers
    • Drizzled on Fish Tacos

My favourite is smothered all over crispy prawns in this Bang Bang Shrimp recipe
